The VP of Sales will be a true people-leadership role, not a player/coach position. Their primary focus will be building a high-performing sales team through clear expectations, accountability, coaching, development, and consistent execution of our sales strategy.
This position is based on the north side of Indianapolis, IN. The starting salary for this position begins at $200,000, plus incentive plan bonus opportunities. What You'll Do:- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth goals in partnership with the President and leadership team.
- Lead, coach, recruit, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on accountability, growth, and results.
- Oversee the sales pipeline, forecasting, CRM processes, and performance reporting.
- Partner with Marketing to strengthen lead generation, qualification, follow-up, and conversion.
- Identify market opportunities, ideal client profiles, key targets, and strategic areas for growth.
- Optimize sales processes, tools, training, and team development to improve productivity and execution.
- Build strategic relationships and serve as an ambassador for the Apex brand in the community.
What You'll Bring:- Live in the Indianapolis, Indiana area or be willing to travel to the area at least 80% of the time.
- 10+ years of B2B or account-based sales experience with demonstrated sales leadership and strategy development.
- Proven consultative experience selling directly to C-Suite leaders (CEO, CFO, CHRO, VP+)
- Experience with CRM and proficiency with sales intelligence tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, and ZoomInfo.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Appropriate state insurance license(s), or ability to obtain required licensing.
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or related field; MBA preferred.
