Description

Lion Real Estate Group is seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President of Property Management to lead the operational performance of our multifamily portfolio. This is a key executive leadership position responsible for driving property performance, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring our communities consistently meet Lion's operational, financial, and resident experience standards.

The ideal candidate is a strategic operator who understands the complexities of value-add multifamily real estate and knows how to translate ownership objectives into actionable operating strategies. This individual will work closely with Asset Management and other members of senior leadership while providing direction, accountability, and support to the property management organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provide executive leadership and oversight of property management operations across the portfolio.
  2. Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company and ownership objectives.
  3. Drive portfolio performance with a focus on revenue growth, expense management, occupancy, collections, NOI, and overall asset performance.
  4. Analyze property and portfolio results, identify performance trends, and implement strategies to address areas of underperformance.
  5. Establish clear expectations, accountability, policies, and operating standards across the property management organization.
  6. Lead and develop Regional Managers and other property management leaders, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  7. Partner with Asset Management and other departments on annual operating budgets, long-term business plans, capital initiatives, and portfolio strategy.
  8. Maintain strong visibility in the field through regular property visits and hands-on involvement with operational challenges and opportunities.
  9. Ensure property conditions, curb appeal, and resident experience consistently meet Lion's standards.
  10. Lead the implementation of new operational initiatives, technology, systems, policies, procedures, and training programs.
  11. Monitor market and industry trends and assess their potential impact on portfolio performance.
  12. Ensure property operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, governing documents, company policies, and ownership requirements.
  13. Represent Lion professionally with investors, business partners, regulatory agencies, and other external stakeholders.
  14. Recruit, coach, develop, and manage direct reports, including providing ongoing performance feedback and addressing performance concerns when necessary.
  15. Partner cross-functionally with Asset Management, Maintenance, Marketing, Training, Human Resources, Accounting, and other departments to support company and portfolio objectives.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, finance, property management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of multifamily property management experience, with demonstrated responsibility for multi-site or portfolio operations.
  • 2+ years of senior or executive-level leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of multifamily operations, financial performance, budgeting, revenue and expense management, and property-level KPIs.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable while building strong relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable operating strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
  • Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the portfolio, including overnight and air travel.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.
