Job Summary

The LA Clippers are seeking a strategic, innovative, and data-driven Vice President of Marketing to lead the next era of fan growth, brand storytelling, and revenue-driving marketing initiatives across the Clippers and Intuit Dome.

This is a unique opportunity to shape one of the most ambitious brands in sports and entertainment. As VP of Marketing, you will oversee integrated marketing strategy across brand, digital, growth, CRM, ticketing campaigns, loyalty, and fan engagement. You will lead a high-performing team focused on building deeper connections with fans locally and globally while delivering measurable business impact.

We are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who combines strategic vision with operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building brands, growing audiences, driving revenue, and developing high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.

This role is highly cross-functional and will partner closely with teams across Ticketing, Partnerships, Creative, Analytics, Communications, Product, and Operations to deliver best-in-class fan experiences and innovative marketing campaigns.

This is a full-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is eligible for our competitive benefit offering including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile NBA games.

What You Will Do

Brand Strategy & Fan Growth
  • Lead and evolve the overall Clippers brand strategy, ensuring a clear and compelling brand voice across all fan touchpoints
  • Develop innovative marketing strategies that drive fan growth, strengthen brand affinity, and support revenue objectives
  • Shape integrated campaigns that connect with fans across digital, social, live events, and game-day experiences
  • Identify opportunities to expand the Clippers fanbase both locally and globally

Integrated Marketing & Campaign Leadership
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans supporting key business priorities, including: Season ticket membership campaigns
    • Single-game ticket sales
    • Schedule release campaigns
    • NBA tentpole moments
    • Brand and cultural initiatives
    • Audience growth and retention programs
    • Partner cross-functionally to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns that align with organizational priorities


Digital, CRM & Performance Marketing
  • Lead growth marketing strategy across performance marketing, CRM, email, web, app, and emerging digital platforms
  • Build and optimize fan acquisition, lead nurturing, conversion, retention, and loyalty strategies
  • Partner with Business Intelligence & Analytics teams to leverage fan insights, audience segmentation, and customer journey optimization
  • Continuously evaluate marketing performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, engagement, and ROI


Loyalty & Fan Experience
  • Lead strategy and evolution of the Clippers loyalty ecosystem to deepen fan engagement and drive long-term fandom
  • Use fan behavior, data, and insights to continually refine loyalty programming and personalized experiences
  • Help create industry-leading fan experiences that differentiate the Clippers and Intuit Dome within sports and entertainment


Innovation & Operational Excellence
  • Drive innovation across the Marketing organization, including the adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows that improve creative production, personalization, speed, and operational efficiency
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous optimization across campaigns and fan experiences
  • Manage and optimize the marketing budget to ensure effective resource allocation and measurable business impact


Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Marketing team while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture
  • Build strong partnerships across Ticketing, Partnerships, Communications, Creative, Product, and Operations teams
  • Partner with PR and Communications to shape brand storytelling, earned media opportunities, and key organizational moments
  • Serve as a key leader within the broader Marketing Leadership Team, helping define strategic priorities across the business


Your Background, Skills and Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing experience, including senior leadership roles
  • Proven success leading integrated marketing, brand, and growth marketing initiatives
  • Experience developing and executing large-scale, multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing, and audience development strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to inform strategy and decision making
  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and highly collaborative environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish an asset

  • Experience in sports, entertainment, media, hospitality, or consumer-facing brands
  • Familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools and emerging marketing technologies

Additional Information

This role requires flexibility to support NBA games, live events, and key organizational initiatives, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation
  • The range for this position is $250,000 - $280,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • The role is classified as exempt.
