Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as a member of the EFCU senior management team, helping establish and implement major goals and strategic objectives for EFCU and broader Everence Financial lending initiatives. Provides leadership for all aspects of lending across Everence, including management of the loan portfolio and underwriting for consumer, mortgage, and business loans. Oversees collections and loan servicing functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Develop and implement effective lending strategies, policies, products, and procedures across all Everence entities.
  2. Maintain strong performance and quality across all lending functions and services.
  3. Ensure lending staff are effective, well equipped, and properly trained.
  4. Supervise, coach, and support personnel to achieve optimal performance.
  5. Maintain effective communication and coordination with Everence personnel, management, and members.
  6. Coordinate lending activities across related Everence departments, branches, and channels.
  7. Provide leadership to the Everence Church Loan Committee, including process and policy updates and church and commercial loan requests for final decisions.
  8. Lead new initiatives, including the Everence Impact Fund and other product or balance sheet opportunities.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor's degree in finance/related field or an equivalent combination of formal financial services training and experience

Experience:
Minimum seven years of related progressive lending experience in a credit union or similar financial institution

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of Everence loan products, policies, and standards
  2. Knowledge of lending-related regulations and legal requirements, including collections, insurance, and related functions
  3. Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal abilities
  4. Ability to design efficient systems and structures
  5. Strong organizational, managerial, and problem-solving skills
  6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
