Position: Vice President of Product Management and Pricing

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Device Product Management & Operations will lead Mediacom's mobile device ecosystem strategy, supply chain operations, OEM partnerships, product lifecycle execution, and operational readiness initiatives. This leader will oversee the full portfolio of smartphones, tablets, wearables, accessories, BYOD programs, and value-added services while ensuring strong operational execution, inventory optimization, customer experience excellence, and long-term profitability.

Reporting to the Group Vice President, Mobile, this executive will work closely with product management, finance, marketing, customer care, sales, technology, logistics, and strategic vendor partners to ensure successful device launches, operational scalability, and continuous process improvement.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in wireless device operations, OEM negotiations, supply chain management, inventory forecasting, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the operational strategy and lifecycle management of Mediacom's mobile device portfolio, including smartphones, tablets, wearables, accessories, and BYOD programs.
  • Lead end-to-end management of device launch execution, operational readiness, forecasting, merchandising support, and lifecycle transitions.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs, distributors, logistics providers, and device ecosystem partners to source and support mobile devices manufactured by wireless industry leading OEMs.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, supply commitments, launch support, promotional funding, and operational service levels with OEM partners.
  • Oversee procurement, inventory planning, logistics, fulfillment, reverse logistics, returns management, and warehouse operations for mobile devices, pSIMs and eSIMs.
  • Develop demand forecasting models that account for business goals, promotional activities, market trends, launch schedules, and customer behavior.
  • Partner with marketing, finance, sales, supply chain, and product management teams to optimize portfolio performance and customer adoption.
  • Resolve Mobile device and SIM provisioning, activation and feature issues working with Mobile Network Operator (MNO), OEM and 3PL partners.
  • Manage device lifecycle economics, including margin optimization, write-down management, inventory turns, and profitability analysis.
  • Oversee value-added programs including device protection, financing, trade-in, upgrade, and warranty initiatives.
  • Monitor operational KPIs related to fulfillment accuracy, activation success, inventory health, device margin, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement automation, process improvement, and operational scalability initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a high-performing operations team while fostering a customer-focused and results-oriented culture.
  • Ensure operational compliance with internal governance, financial controls, regulatory standards, and security requirements.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in wireless device operations, telecommunications supply chain management, or mobile product operations.
  • Extensive experience managing OEM relationships and wireless device ecosystems. Prior relationship with Apple a plus.
  • Demonstrated success leading device launches, lifecycle transitions, and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, demand forecasting, fulfillment, logistics, reverse logistics, and inventory planning.
  • Experience managing P&L considerations related to device economics, promotions, and lifecycle profitability.
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets and develop KPI-driven operational insights.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, operations, supply chain, telecommunications, or related field preferred.
