About the Position

The Vice President of Customer Technology will lead the company's customer technology strategy and oversee the adoption and growth of connected equipment, digital platforms, worksite technology, and emerging solutions.

This executive will lead the Sitech division, including technology sales, operations, service, sales engineering, and technical teams. The role will work closely with sales, product support, parts, rental, marketing, and executive leadership to drive customer adoption and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategy for Caterpillar integrated technology, Trimble/Sitech, drone and geospatial solutions, digital platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop customer solutions around grade control, productivity, payload, condition monitoring, and connected fleets.
  • Manage budgets and P&L performance while identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Lead, coach, and develop technology sales and support teams.
  • Build scalable customer onboarding, training, and sales programs.
  • Equip dealership teams to effectively sell, demonstrate, and support technology solutions.
  • Align Sitech and dealership teams around customer outcomes and revenue growth.
  • Partner with marketing to increase customer awareness and technology adoption.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled customer solutions.
  • Ensure technology offerings meet appropriate contractual, risk, and compliance requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Senior-level leadership experience in heavy equipment, construction technology, dealership operations, digital fleet solutions, Sitech, or construction positioning technology.
  • Strong knowledge of machine technology, telematics, grade control, connected fleets, and digital platforms.
  • Proven P&L, budgeting, team leadership, and business development experience.
  • Strong customer engagement, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technology into practical customer value.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and organizational change.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
