We are searching for an experienced Vice President of Client Coverage, Business Development at our Connecticut office.

Position Summary:
Wilton Re is seeking an individual tojoin its Business Development team as Vice President, reporting to the Co-Headof Business Development. This role willserve as an integrated member of our Business Development team with primaryresponsibility for industry coverage and the origination of new opportunities(the "VP of Client Coverage").Thisperson will also work very closely with Wilton Re's Group CEO and US CEO onindustry facing and public facing meetings. The VP of Client Coverage will be both a strategic thinker and a practicalhands-on executor-able to advise on market trends, individual companystrategies, competition and the makeup of transactions at a high level whilealso rolling up their sleeves and engaging directly in detailed analysis, asneeded.

The ideal candidate willbring deep experience in the insurance and financial services market as well asexperience in managing coverage programs, contributing/ leading discussions at clientcompanies and managing deal processes for reinsurance/ M&A transactions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, lessstructured but collaborative environment and has experience driving clientdiscussions toward transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
Own Wilton Re's coverage program across constituencies, with heavy emphasis on insurance companies
Insurance company executive/ C-Suite discussions
Investors in insurance/ reinsurance companies
Certain partners
Bankers
Brokers
Certain consultants
Maintain the coverage universe:
All potential counterparties in the US life and annuity industry
Thoughtful prioritization/ tiering supported by underlying analysis based on company situation, current relationship, and Wilton Re opportunity set
Near term and longer term targeting
Actively maintained, with more formal quarterly updates
Targeting list (quarter and 12-month outlook) actively managed, with appropriate coverage responsibilities among the CEO's and BD team members.Note: The CEOs and senior business development team will have specific client coverage responsibilities.The Vice President of Client Coverage will work closely and collaboratively with the other team members in targeting, planning, meeting, expanding relationships and pushing forward ideas for transactions, while ensuring planned actions are achieved.
Quarterly actuals vs targeting reported to the board
Advise on approach; arrange meetings, dinners, entertainment
Develop and manage Wilton Re materials for client dissemination
Company overviews
Client Specific opportunity/ solution sets (e.g. administrative reinsurance)
Specific idea generation for clients
"In the room" leadership for most client meetings
Active development/ stewardship of relationships with Corporate Development teams and C-Suite
Primary interface with bankers
Attend important conferences, hold client meetings and events
Key support for, and participation in, targeted discussions with key partners, life insurance investors and competitors
Quarterly market commentary for Board of Directors meeting; attendance at key meetings
Primary author of annual Business Development plan, working collaboratively with Co-Head of Business Development, CEO's and others.
Support for R&D/ new markets, as needed
Management of transactions, where needed

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of relevant investment banking/ M&A/ Reinsurance experience, preferably at a top investment bank and/or reinsurance or insurance company
Strong experience with insurance/reinsurance transactions and/or M&A
Excellent knowledge of the US life and annuity industry, and reinsurance market including developing c-suite level overviews of the market and underling trends
Strong experience with managing a coverage program in the life insurance industry
Beneficial if the individual has an established network of Corporate Development and other senior contacts in the industry
Familiarity with life insurance products and regulatory frameworks
Proven ability to manage independently
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to summarize complex details depending on audience
Strong business acumen and ability to provide practical, risk-based advice
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Required Education / Certifications:
Undergrad;MBA, CFA, Actuarial certifications helpful but not necessary

Base salary/hourly rate range for this position in Connecticut is between$180,000 and $240,000. Please note that specific compensation decisions arebased upon a variety of job-related factors as permitted by law, includinggeographic location, credentials, skills, education, training andexperience.
