Vice President of Applications A well-established U.S.-based industrial automation and engineered solutions organisation is seeking a VP of Applications to lead the strategy, performance, and modernization of its business-critical application landscape. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role for someone who can align technology to operational priorities and deliver measurable outcomes across the enterprise. Location: Pennsylvania Type: Permanent, Full-time The opportunity Reporting into senior leadership, you will own the end-to-end applications function-driving a clear roadmap, strengthening governance, and ensuring the organisation's platforms are scalable, secure, and fit for growth. You'll work cross-functionally with key stakeholders across operations, finance, commercial teams, and IT. Key responsibilities Define and execute the enterprise applications strategy and roadmap Lead delivery across core platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, finance, HR, analytics/reporting, integrations ) Establish strong governance (prioritisation, change control, release management, documentation) Improve system reliability, data quality, and user adoption through standardisation and optimisation Manage budgets, vendors/partners, and service performance with clear KPIs and accountability Ensure appropriate security, compliance, and risk management across applications and data Build and develop a high-performing team and operating model (internal and/or external resources) What we're looking for Proven leadership experience owning enterprise applications at Director/VP level A track record delivering complex transformation programmes (implementations, upgrades, integrations) Strong stakeholder management-able to influence across functions and at executive level Comfortable operating in a hands-on leadership capacity (strategy + delivery) Experience in industrial, manufacturing, automation, engineered products, or similar environments is beneficial Why consider it?
