WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

The Vice President, North America Insurance Placement is accountable for leading and executing insurance placement strategy across Revantage and Blackstone Real Estate's North American portfolio. This role is critical to ensuring scalable, cost-effective, and lender-compliant insurance programs while leveraging Revantage and Blackstone buying power and insurer partnerships. The position serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, deal teams, portfolio companies, and lenders, translating complex risk and insurance requirements into executable solutions that protect assets, preserve enterprise value, and support transaction velocity. This position will also support the Revantage insurance department business objectives and remain informed of the changes that occur within the company and recommend / execute changes to the program(s) as appropriate.

The successful candidate combines deep insurance knowledge with investment and commercial judgment, balancing speed, rigor, and innovation to support an expanding real estate platform. This role is focused on North America and is based in either Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL

HOW YOU ADD VALUE
  • Lead all North America insurance placements, including property, casualty, and specialty programs, ensuring alignment with portfolio risk strategy and financial objectives
  • Own the end-to-end placement lifecycle, from market strategy and underwriting submissions through binding, documentation, and post placement refinement
  • Lead negotiations with carriers and brokers to optimize pricing, coverage terms, limits, and structures, leveraging portfolio scale and claims data
  • Maintain senior level relationships with key insurers and brokerage partners across North America, ensuring stability, performance, and innovation
  • Develop and continuously improve placement processes, governance, and documentation standards to support scalability and transaction efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with claims, analytics, and RMIS teams to incorporate loss trends, exposure data, and performance metrics into placement strategy
  • Advise portfolio companies on coverage adequacy, risk transfer options, and contract insurance requirements, including construction and development projects
  • Define and report key placement metrics, including premium trends, renewal outcomes, insurer diversification, and coverage enhancements, for senior leadership
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering execution discipline, commercial acumen, and continuous improvement
  • Educate, advise, and counsel portfolio company management, property staff, and business partners where necessary to reduce or transfer risk


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 10-15+ years of insurance, risk management, or brokerage experience, with significant exposure to real estate portfolios and complex placements
  • Demonstrated expertise in Property & Casualty insurance structures, lender requirements, and portfolio level program design
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations, manage brokers and carriers, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insurance topics into clear business and P&L implications
  • Strong commitment to meeting stakeholder expectations and thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfort working with RMIS platforms and underwriting data
  • MBA, JD, or professional designations (CPCU, ARM) preferred


Base Compensation Range:
$213,741.00 To $284,878.00 Annually. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company's base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

Total Direct Compensation:

This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
