The WSP US Advisory practice is dedicated to transforming the business of infrastructure across the transportation, buildings, energy, water, environment, and power sectors. At WSP US Advisory, you will join a group of trusted advisors and analysts, delivering business and asset performance improvement solutions to our transit, highways, water, aviation and other sector clients. Our team works nationally with team members located across the country.
Your Impact

The successful candidate will lead the AMBA Maintenance Advisory Practice within Management Consulting in Advisory Services. The Maintenance Advisory Practice advances the safety and effectiveness of public agency maintenance programs by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and equipping teams with the methods, processes, and insights they need to deliver safer, more reliable and accountable service to the public. This position is responsible for shaping and growing client relationships, originating and selling work, leading high-quality delivery, guiding project teams, and advancing maintenance-related work across transit, highways, aviation, ports, energy, water, utilities and other infrastructure and asset intensive sectors.

To do this, you will:
  • Develop opportunities and lead strategic consulting services for Maintenance Advisory. Support the overall long-term strategy, growth, client pipeline, and market positioning of the Asset Management Business Advisory team within Management Consulting and Advisory Services.
  • Originate, sell, and deliver Maintenance Advisory work by developing trusted client relationships, identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, leading pursuits, and supporting revenue and growth objectives.
  • Provide executive-level strategic advice to clients and WSP Advisory leadership on maintenance-related trends and cutting edge methodologies. Lead client presentations, workshops, interviews, and leadership meetings with confidence and credibility.
  • Serve as proposal lead and technical advisor on maintenance related projects, ensuring teams understand objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing high-quality deliverables, including maintenance assessments, asset maintenance optimization, reliability centered maintenance, condition-based maintenance, asset condition assessments, asset lifecycle strategies, maintenance budget forecasts, fleet optimization models, asset management plans, staff optimization models, FMECA, preventive maintenance time studies, etc.
  • Lead and mentor project teams and staff, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, high-performance culture focused on quality, innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Lead Reliability-Centered Maintenance studies and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for transit, highways, aviation, ports, energy, water, utilities and other infrastructure and asset intensive sectors.
  • Develop Asset Management Business Advisory maintenance-related methodologies and conduct internal training for team members on those methodologies.
  • Lead the design of full life-cycle maintenance, modifications and overhaul strategies for transit, highways, aviation, ports, utilities and other infrastructure and asset intensive sectors.
  • Lead optimization of preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to extend operational life of aging infrastructure and assets
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial or Systems Engineering or closely related and applicable discipline.
  • 10+ years of post-education experience on closely related and applicable role.
  • Minimum of 8 years directly managing hands-on maintenance teams, reliability engineers or workshop supervisors in asset intensive organizations.
  • Proven track record running heavy maintenance operations (i.e. rolling stock depots, power plant operations).
  • Demonstrated success implementing maintenance strategy and operational changes in multi-million dollar asset intensive organizations.
  • Experience in developing and overseeing condition-based or reliability-centered maintenance programs in one or more infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving critical maintenance related Key Performance Indicators such as Mean Time Between Failure, Maintenance Cost Optimization, Percentage of PM Tasks performed on time, Increased Operational Availability.
  • Experience utilizing asset hierarchies, asset data standards, asset definition and data dictionaries and other similar protocols in various different EAM Systems to develop maintenance-related Key Performance Indicators.
  • Extensive experience and demonstrated success pursuing new business opportunities, developing technical proposals and winning maintenance related work across a variety of industry clients.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills both in person and remote.
  • High quality standards with an innate attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills including experience with asset performance data, financial data and asset lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Demonstrated mastery of ISO55001, international RAM standards and EN 15341 and their implementation within agencies operationally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Strong team player who can get things done under competing client priorities.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science (M.S.) in Engineering Management, Asset Management, or Reliability Engineering.
  • Management Consulting or Engineering Consulting experience.
  • Published white papers, articles, or keynote presentations at major international transportation or energy asset management conferences.
  • Demonstrated experience on EAM System Implementations including Maximo, Infor, Trapeze or other systems.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), or Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Diploma.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $184,000 - $260,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
