Full Job Description
What you'll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to work with product owners to understand the requirements, decompose work, plan and prioritize software deliverables. Implement software application engineering methodologies, processes, and practices to business requirements, including information security, data privacy, code maintainability and reliability. Work with cross functional senior leaders to report progress and for escalation and conflict management. Perform reviews and provide constructive feedback to squad members. Research new software technologies and development tools to keep pace with industry advancements. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

What you'll bring to the role:

-Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study

-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Programmer Analyst, Applications Developer, Software Engineer, or a closely related occupation

-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:
  • Java, Junit, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate;
  • Docker and Kubernetes;
  • REST Services;
  • OAuth2;
  • AngularJS;
  • Redis;
  • IBM DB2;
  • Cloud technologies including AWS Cloud, and Private Cloud;
  • microservices architecture; and
  • Banking and Financial domain.


Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $197,000 and $197,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
