In this role, you will serve as the senior executive responsible for Ascension Saint Thomas' portfolio of joint ventures and clinically aligned partnerships across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.
You will lead the strategic direction, governance, relationship management, and long-term growth of a diverse portfolio of partnerships spanning ambulatory surgery, physical therapy, behavioral health, imaging, urgent care, inpatient rehabilitation, and other clinically integrated ventures.
Additionally, you will ensure alignment between Ascension Saint Thomas and its partners by strengthening governance, standardizing partnership practices, supporting operational integration, and identifying opportunities for strategic growth. As the portfolio continues to evolve through new partnerships, acquisitions, and market expansion, this executive serves as the primary steward of partner relationships while ensuring each venture advances the organization's strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for business development to ensure achievement of goals.
- Responsible for building relationships to establish partnerships and affiliations.
- Oversee the development and continuous improvement of services, policies, processes and programs.
- Formulate and implement operational strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies and develop proposals for new business opportunities.
- Serves as the executive leader for Ascension Saint Thomas' portfolio of joint ventures and clinically integrated partnerships.
- Acts as the primary executive relationship manager for partner organizations, physician leaders, and key stakeholders across the partnership portfolio.
- Ensures strategic, operational, and governance alignment across all joint ventures through strong partnership engagement and collaborative leadership.
- Partners closely with Market Leadership, Strategy, Finance, Operations, Medical Group leaders, and Service Line leaders to align partnership strategy with organizational priorities, market dynamics, and long-term growth objectives.
- Oversees portfolio performance by partnering with finance, strategy, and operational leaders to ensure ventures remain aligned with business plans, strategic priorities, and organizational goals.
- Leads evaluation and development of new partnership opportunities in collaboration with the Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Financial Officer, national Ascension leaders, and external partners.
- Supports due diligence, transaction planning, partnership structuring, and post-transaction integration for new ventures and strategic affiliations.
- Establishes consistent governance, communication, and engagement processes with partner executive teams, physician leadership, governing boards, and other key stakeholders.
- Drives continuous improvement of partnership structures, operating models, policies, and processes to support long-term success and strategic alignment.
- Identifies opportunities to expand existing partnerships and develop new models that strengthen access, clinical integration, and market presence.
What minimum requirements you'll needEducation:
- Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 4 of those years being in leadership/management.
