Vice President, Strategy and Growth

Corporates Segment

This role owns Corporates' corporate strategy and its cascade into the business and owns the relationship with Product.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as Vice President, Strategy and Growth, you will:

Corporate strategy
  • Own Corporates' corporate strategy and drive its cascade into priorities across the business.
  • Own the relationship with Product, ensuring strategy and product direction stay aligned.
  • Drive the segment's M&A, Ventures, and Partnerships agenda, bringing together work that is fragmented across the organization today into a single, coherent agenda.


External and brand positioning
  • Engage analysts and manage corporate brand and media to drive Corporates' story in the market.
  • Build out executive personas for Katie Oberg and members of the senior leadership team, and use them to drive relationships and narrative across the market.
  • Coordinate corporate brand and media efforts with marketing's broader social and brand push.


About You
You're a fit for the role if you background includes the following:
  • 10+ years of proven experience owning and evolving corporate strategy for a B2B, enterprise, or multi-product business, translating long-range ambition into clear priorities, investment decisions, and executable plans.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role in a B2B SaaS, workflow, data, AI, or enterprise software environment.
  • A strong track record of partnering with Product leadership to align market opportunities, customer needs, product roadmaps, and commercial growth objectives.
  • Experience leading or materially contributing to M&A, corporate development, venture investment, strategic partnerships, or ecosystem strategy-from opportunity assessment and business-case development through diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.
  • The ability to bring together fragmented strategic initiatives across functions into a cohesive agenda with clear governance, owners, milestones, and success measures.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, customer segments, and emerging trends relevant to a complex corporate or enterprise market.
  • Experience developing compelling external narratives and positioning that differentiate a business, strengthen market perception, and support growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated success engaging with industry analysts, media, customers, partners, and other external stakeholders to shape market understanding and build credibility.
  • Experience building and activating executive thought-leadership platforms, including distinct executive personas, messaging frameworks, speaking opportunities, and relationship-building strategies.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience coordinating corporate communications, brand, public relations, social, and marketing efforts around a consistent market story.
  • Exceptional executive communication, influence, and storytelling abilities, with the judgment to represent a business effectively in high-visibility internal and external settings.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $220,200 USD - $408,900 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
