Full Job Description
Your Role: Vice President, Global TSMS and Engineering As Vice President, Global TSMS and Engineering, you will provide enterprise-wide leadership for Technical Services & Manufacturing Science and Engineering across Elanco’s global manufacturing network. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end process lifecycle management, engineering strategy for facilities and automation, and leading the modernization of manufacturing through advanced technologies. Your Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead the global TSMS and Engineering strategy to support manufacturing platforms, establishing frameworks for process lifecycle management and technical standards.
  • Oversee technology transfer and process validation from development to commercial manufacturing, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical readiness across internal and external sites.
  • Lead global technical support, investigations, and continuous improvement programs to drive process robustness, yield, and operational excellence.
  • Provide strategic leadership for global facilities and automation, managing the capital project portfolio and ensuring GMP/safety compliance for all equipment and utilities.
  • Develop and deliver a roadmap for 'next-generation' manufacturing capabilities, including the implementation of AI, robotics, and advanced digital technologies.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Education: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biologics, or animal health manufacturing, including substantial leadership roles in technical services, TSMS, or engineering.
  • Deep expertise in process development and validation; strong strategic leadership skills with experience managing multi-site technical organizations.

  • Additional business or leadership education, such as an MBA or comparable executive program.
  • Proven track record of introducing advanced manufacturing technologies and digital/automation solutions in a regulated GMP environment.
  • Extensive experience with CMC regulatory submissions and technical oversight of external manufacturing partners (CMOs/CDMOs).
  • Strong stakeholder and change management capabilities with experience leading complex global transformations.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing data analytics and process modeling tools.
