About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President – Equities Product Control within CIB Finance. This role supports the Product Control function covering the Equities business, including Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Prime Services, and Equity Financing. The position is responsible for execution-level P&L reporting, balance sheet controls, RWA/Capital reporting, and financial analysis while developing strong technical and control fundamentals.


In this role, you will:

  • Perform daily P&L production and validation for assigned Equities portfolios.
  • Prepare detailed daily P&L explain, including analysis of market movements, Greeks/sensitivities, valuation drivers, and portfolio risks across Cash Equities, Derivatives, and Equity Financing.
  • Execute balance sheet substantiation, reconciliations, and general ledger integrity checks.
  • Investigate P&L breaks, valuation discrepancies, and unexplained items; escalate issues promptly to management and front‑office partners.
  • Support month‑end and quarter‑end close activities aligned with firm reporting timelines.
  • Maintain documentation and evidence supporting control execution, governance requirements, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with offshore Product Control and Finance support teams to ensure timely, accurate delivery of functional responsibilities.
  • Participate in process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives across the Equities Product Control function.
  • Perform RWA and Capital consumption reporting for Equities businesses, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with regulatory and internal capital frameworks.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Product Control, Markets Finance, or a related financial control role.
  • Exposure to Equities or Markets products required.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of P&L reporting, valuation concetps, and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and ability to interpret market data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, or Equity Financing products.
  • Prior experience supporting daily P&L, Risk, valuation, and month‑end close processes.
  • Familiarity with RWA/Capital concepts (market, credit, counterparty credit, or operational risk).
  • Experience collaborating with offshore/shared‑service teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems, data tools, or automation platforms.
  • Progress toward or completion of advanced degree or certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent)

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$143,000.00 - $224,000.00
