Overview

Highgate seeks a Vice President of Enterprise AI to lead how the organization adopts, governs, and realizes value from AI across our corporate operations-defining where AI delivers measurable advantage and building the structures, discipline, and organizational capability to scale it with confidence. This leader will translate ambiguity into clear, executable AI roadmaps grounded in measurable business outcomes.

The VP of Enterprise AI will serve as a trusted advisor across Business Leadership, IT, Data Services, Information Security, Legal/Privacy, Finance, HR, Procurement, and external partners, operating within a highly collaborative, matrixed environment. The role requires strong executive presence, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence without authority-aligning competing priorities, driving cross-functional clarity, and sustaining momentum across enterprise initiatives.

While deep engineering expertise is not required, sufficient technical literacy is essential to evaluate use cases credibly, engage as a peer with technical teams, and distinguish genuine enterprise value from AI hype. This leader must demonstrate sound judgment in governance, security, and risk, ensuring responsible adoption while maintaining speed, relevance, and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Roadmap. Own the enterprise AI agenda - identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities by value, feasibility, risk, and cost, and convert broad interest into a governed roadmap of pilots and initiatives.
  • Opportunity Assessment. Lead discovery across departments, turning day-to-day friction into a prioritized portfolio of high-value, defensible use cases with rigorous business cases.
  • Consensus Building & Mindset Shift. Lead organizational alignment around AI by building consensus across business and functional leaders, addressing resistance, and creating shared ownership of priorities and outcomes. Drive the mindset shift from viewing AI as a technology initiative to embracing it as a business transformation capability, fostering a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, responsible innovation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Governance & Steering Committee. Own the AI governance process and chair the enterprise Steering Committee - intake, review, approval, prioritization, escalation, and executive reporting - with IT, Security, Legal/Privacy, Data Services, Compliance, and Finance.
  • Solutions, Agents & Automation. Decide where to extend enterprise tools versus build - across Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Fabric, Azure, Claude, and Power Platform - keeping solutions secure, supportable, and aligned to architecture.
  • Adoption & Enablement. Put people first - building training, playbooks, and role-based guidance with HR, L&D, and Communications so approved tools become everyday advantage.
  • Value Realization. Define how value is estimated, tracked, and proven; report roadmap progress, delivered value, adoption, and risk to executives, validating ROI with Finance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement. Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, translating AI concepts into clear business language and championing a practical, value-focused approach.
  • Partner & Vendor Coordination. Engage external partners to accelerate delivery while ensuring they build internal capability rather than long-term dependency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in business, information systems, computer science, analytics, engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years across enterprise technology, AI enablement, digital transformation, process improvement, data/analytics, automation, or management consulting.
  • Proven cross-departmental delivery - identifying needs, documenting use cases, building roadmaps, and driving technology-enabled improvement.
  • Strong command of generative AI, copilots, agents, automation, and data platforms; able to evaluate on value, feasibility, risk, cost, and ROI.
  • Solid grounding in enterprise security, data governance, privacy, risk, and responsible AI.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Hands-on with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Fabric, Azure, Power Platform, Claude, Foundation, Lindy, Perplexity, Jasper, Gemini, OpenAI/Anthropic, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience with AI and data governance, responsible-AI frameworks, and technology risk; building bots, agents, or AI-enabled reporting; and enterprise data platforms.
