Full Job Description
ConGlobal is looking for a Vice President of Depot Operations who will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of depot operations across their assigned region, ensuring operational excellence, safety, efficiency, and profitability. This role requires strategic oversight, team/talent development, and a focus on driving continuous improvement while maintaining strong customer relationships, embracing technology, and upholding safety standards.

This position will be hybrid out of a depot facility in their assigned region, with the ability to travel to sites as needed. Travel should be expected up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and execute strategic plans for assigned depot operations to align with corporate goals.
  • Lead assigned operational teams, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Identify growth opportunities within depot operations and lead expansion or improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high service quality across all depots.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to drive operational performance, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices, process improvements, and standardization across locations, ensuring alignment with the depot operations as a whole.
  • Manage and oversee the operational budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Drive cost control measures while maintaining operational quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with finance teams on forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage volume adjustments to match the macro-economic climate and customer shifts.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of depot leaders, ensuring succession planning is considered for future growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and service excellence.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in depot, terminal, or logistics operations. At least 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple site locations.
  • Education: Bachelor's in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent combination of education an experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to motivate and ensure consistency across teams, while partnering with peer group to support the organization as a whole.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skillset, including the ability to present to large groups.
  • Strong time management skills
