Role Overview

The Vice President of Delivery & Operations is a key leader within AIS's Federal Business Unit, responsible for leading the organization's delivery, operations, growth support, and people leadership functions across both Civilian and Defense & Intel programs.

This role oversees program leaders and operational teams that drive successful execution across the business. The VP will play a critical role in shaping organizational culture, strengthening leadership capabilities, ensuring operational excellence, and building trusted relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders-while also helping convert strong on-contract performance into growth by creating visibility into accomplishments, identifying expansion opportunities, and reinforcing delivery-led account development.

The ideal candidate is an influential and inspiring leader with deep GovCon experience, strong program and operational management capabilities, exceptional people leadership skills, and the executive presence to help scale and evolve the Federal business. This includes driving the operational rigor that supports growth by ensuring the organization consistently captures key accomplishments, mission impact, and differentiators in ways that can be leveraged in account planning, recompetes, and new business pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and operational leaders across the Federal business.


  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and growth-minded culture focused on accountability, employee experience, and delivery excellence.


  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational strategy, workforce planning, and operational priorities.


Delivery & Operations

  • Oversee delivery execution, financial performance, and operational health across Federal programs and accounts, including accountability for billable work, margin, and overall program outcomes.


  • Establish strong governance, operational cadence, performance visibility, and risk management practices.


  • Drive operational efficiency, organizational scalability, and execution consistency across the business.


Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Build strong relationships with federal clients, prime contractors, and strategic partners.


  • Collaborate closely with executives, business stakeholders, and program leaders to align delivery with business priorities.


  • Serve as a trusted and influential leader internally and externally.


Talent & Workforce Leadership

  • Partner with People Operations and business leaders to oversee workforce planning, staffing, and billability across the Federal business, including talent forecasting, organizational readiness, and alignment of talent supply to business demand.


  • Maintain visibility into talent availability and bench management, and proactively plan for the skills and capabilities required to support both current delivery commitments and future growth priorities.


  • Develop strong leadership capability across the organization through mentorship, coaching, and accountability.
