Full Job Description
The Opportunity

Corporate Sales sits within HSBC Global Banking and Markets and serves corporate clients across our Strategic and Focus segments. This role is focused on managing and developing the revenue and profitability of an allocated client portfolio while delivering consistently high service. You'll bring market insight and product knowledge across foreign exchange instruments and interest rate derivatives to help clients meet their needs through relevant solutions. You'll work closely with internal partners including Relationship Managers, Global Payments Solutions (GPS) and Global Trade Solutions (GTS) to improve share of wallet and strengthen client outcomes. The role also has a strong focus on improving cost-of-service by progressing key initiatives such as moving more transactional activity to self-service e-capability. Success means deeper client relationships, stronger product penetration and disciplined execution across the full client lifecycle from idea to post-trade.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage an allocated portfolio of Strategic and/or Focus clients including Transactional clients where required
  • Identify client-specific sales opportunities and take them from initial idea through execution and post-trade activity
  • Deliver day-to-day sales coverage across the full Corporate Sales offering and coordinate coverage across the wider team
  • Provide service and solutions that meet client needs drawing on HSBC product expertise and thought leadership where needed
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, GPS and GTS to meet client needs and improve wallet share
  • Strengthen revenue and profitability by increasing product penetration across the client portfolio
  • Champion adoption of relevant service offerings including migration of transactional business to self-service e-capability
  • Manage process changes as technology platforms evolve and ensure client servicing remains consistent


What we're looking for
  • Bring strong knowledge of the Corporate Sales business including products, clients, systems and key processes
  • Apply deep product knowledge across foreign exchange instruments including Spot, Options, Swaps, Forwards and Futures
  • Apply strong product knowledge across interest rate derivatives and manage a diverse and sometimes complex product set
  • Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships across an assigned area of responsibility
  • Show a track record of identifying cross-sell opportunities including cross-border and broader bank collaboration
  • Navigate sales activity through end-to-end execution including post-trade processes and controls
  • Hold relevant exams and qualifications required by local and any cross-border market regulations for non-advisory sales and trading activities or bring equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Bring experience in team management where applicable including people development performance management and high-quality execution

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
