The Vice President, Content Delivery Networks will be part of the Global Video Engineering organization and will be responsible for overall strategy, design, and execution of content delivery for our OTT products. The Vice President will oversee a team of CDN, Data and Software engineers who are subject matter experts in next generation distribution, who will ensure the fidelity, quality, and availability of our delivery network for the benefit of our global audiences. Job Responsibilities

Technical Expertise
  • Devise and execute Content Delivery Strategy to deliver current and planned media products & events at necessary performance & scale.
  • Attract and retain a multi-national team of subject matter experts to deliver strategy.
  • Develop relationships and engage with partner ISPs & telco industry to ensure performant access.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to manage key vendor commercial relationships.
  • Ensure technology decisions supporting strategy are made from the latest market research of vendors and competition.
  • Engage with Legal and Finance teams to negotiate vendor contracts and manage budgets.
  • Conduct Short/long term technology evaluations (e.g. multicast, p2p, hybrid/ISP CDNs, deeper distribution, self-build CDN)
  • Involvement in E2E technology planning, product governance and regulatory/legal matters.
  • Own the end-to-end CDN roadmap, including capacity planning, performance optimization, resiliency, cost efficiency, and future-state architecture across global streaming products.
  • Set and govern CDN reliability, quality, and performance standards, ensuring measurable KPIs and SLAs for availability, latency, startup time, rebuffering, and overall viewer experience.
  • Lead incident readiness and operational excellence for high-profile live events and peak traffic moments, including escalation protocols, risk mitigation, and post-event learnings.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Distribution, and Platform Engineering to ensure CDN strategy supports business priorities, product launches, global expansion, and audience growth.
  • Drive vendor strategy and optimization, including multi-CDN strategy, contract performance, vendor scorecards, cost modeling, and negotiation support.
  • Champion innovation in next-generation content delivery, including automation, observability, traffic steering, edge compute, ISP partnerships, and emerging delivery models.
  • Establish data-driven decision-making practices by using real-time monitoring, analytics, and performance insights to improve delivery quality and business outcomes.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and risk controls are embedded into CDN architecture and third-party partnerships, especially for global content distribution.
  • Develop succession plans and an organizational structure for the CDN function to ensure scalability, continuity, and long-term leadership depth.
  • Represent the CDN function with senior executives, translating technical performance, risk, investment needs, and roadmap tradeoffs into clear business recommendations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience managing large-scale digital software systems, preferably in the Content Delivery Network space
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience leading a CDN function
  • Expertise in software security best practices and tooling
  • Expertise in digital video codecs and encoding profiles
  • Experience in digital media or direct-to-consumer video business highly preferred
  • Expertise in high-availability software patterns and performance testing
  • Knowledge of Cloud & Container Security

Desired Characteristics
  • Experience in deploying tools such as Web Application Firewalls, Container Security, Static & Dynamic Code Analysis
  • In depth knowledge of all OTT platforms, including optimization of delivery methodology of each with a passion for staying on the cutting edge of digital video delivery
  • Passionate about leading a team of engineers and committed to building world-class software systems
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues and executives
  • Ability to understand large complex software systems and their interdependencies

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
