Job Summary


As a Vice President Biddable Media in Card Acquisitions Marketing, you lead our performance media strategy and execution across paid search, paid social, and programmatic advertising to drive profitable customer acquisition. You strengthen targeting, personalization, testing, measurement, and operational excellence to improve efficiency and results. You collaborate closely with partners across product, analytics, finance, risk, legal and compliance, technology, creative, and agencies to deliver strong performance and customer experiences. You also develop and grow a team, setting clear goals and raising the bar on how we plan, optimize, and report.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute paid media acquisition strategies across paid search, paid social, and programmatic advertising to achieve annual account and revenue targets
  • Lead campaign reporting, performance controls, expense management, and execution quality across biddable media channels
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external agencies to align on plans, priorities, measurement approaches, and outcomes
  • Design, launch, and optimize multiple tests and pilots each year to improve efficiency, conversion outcomes, and channel contribution
  • Strengthen audience targeting and data activation through first-party and third-party audience strategy, segmentation, and activation (where permitted)
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new capabilities such as artificial intelligence-driven optimization, new media partners, and improved audience and data tactics
  • Manage budgets effectively and deliver improved spend efficiency versus forecast through disciplined optimization and controls
  • Deliver against account forecasts and revenue goals using data-driven insights and continuous optimization across channels
  • Present performance, insights, and recommendations clearly to senior leaders and key stakeholders
  • Drive operational excellence by improving processes, documentation, and ways of working across planning, execution, and reporting
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of five marketing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 510 years of experience in digital marketing and media, with a focus on paid search and paid social
  • Strong experience leading acquisition-focused campaigns, ideally in regulated or highly scrutinized industries
  • Deep knowledge of optimization tactics across biddable media, including query and keyword analysis, match type and exclusion strategies, retargeting and prospecting, frequency management, creative rotation, bidding approaches, and placement controls
  • Experience activating first-party and third-party audiences, with strong understanding of identity and privacy considerations
  • Hands-on familiarity with major buying platforms and ad technology, such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and leading demand-side platforms
  • Proven measurement and attribution experience, including cost per acquisition frameworks and incrementality testing; familiarity with multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, and lift testing approaches
  • Experience partnering with product and technology teams to improve the customer journey and increase conversion while reducing acquisition costs
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate performance data into clear actions and decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting with discipline and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting to senior leaders
  • Proven people leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams

  • Experience managing programmatic acquisition at scale across multiple publishers and formats
  • Experience building and scaling structured experimentation roadmaps across channels and audiences
