Full Job Description
The Role

This executive serves on the McKesson Provider Solutions leadership team, offering leadership and fully participating in the overall growth and success of the Provider Solutions segment and that of McKesson at large. This individual will help the leadership team achieve its overall financial, customer, operational and talent goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the short and long range strategic and financial plans to achieve the organization's goals and objectives including plans for growth, efficiency, cost management, capital deployment, and maximization of resources.
  • Assess and prioritizes business development opportunities to meet organic growth targets and continues to evaluate market conditions for potential strategic acquisitions and partnerships.
  • Develop and formulate plans for growth and build relationships with BioPharma and Providers.
  • Act as a key industry leader driving discussions, strategic activities, and collaboration at a national level and be an advisory board member in trade organizations.
  • Work across the enterprise to influence and develop strategies that support North American Pharmaceutical Solutions (NAPS) long term growth in the specialty markets.
  • Hold ongoing discussions with key practice physicians. Lead reviews of key performance metrics as appropriate, be a change agent, and lead by creating close collaboration with physicians, practice management teams and internal support departments.
  • Develop and maintain a unique culture and brand in the market that emulates the principles and behaviors of McKesson.
  • Formulating and implementing strategic plans that guides the direction and growth of business trade organizations such as NCODA and specialty pharmacy associations.
  • Acts as a key industry leader driving discussions, strategic activities, and collaboration, Identifying and bringing to light the right partnerships for Biologics that will enhance the business value proposition and success.
  • Responsible for BioPharma engagement and negotiations for Biologics.
  • Provides strategic leadership for InspiroGene's therapy sales and operations, partnering closely with cell, gene, and advanced therapy biopharma manufacturers, McKesson InspiroGene leadership, and provider organizations to drive growth, execution, and market success.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Continues to oversee the complete operation of the organization including, but not limited to:
    • Sales and Account Management (Provider Engagement and BioPharma Engagement)
    • Clinical Operations
    • Revenue Cycle Services
    • Patient Call Center and Support
    • Payer contracting support
    • Specialty Pharmacy Operations
    • Data Insights and Technology


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 15+ years of experience in healthcare management and specialty pharmacy.

Critical Skills
  • P&L leadership experience and a track record of positive results
  • Prior business development experience, operations, and leadership roles required.
  • Ability to understand customer needs even when the customer is ambiguous or unable to clearly articulate their needs.
  • Helpful to have prior work experience in multi-site healthcare experience
  • Accustomed to working in a rapidly changing environment, be a change agent and able to provide inspiration leadership, creating drive and team cooperation while being fully capable of making tough decisions and acting on them as appropriate.
  • Ability to openly communicate and motivate teams with a track record of developing and retaining good people and building strong, committed teams. Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to provide strong leadership and influence in a matrixed environment, cross functional teams in management multiple projects with conflicting priorities and market-imposed deadlines.
  • Strategic and forward thinking with strong financial acumen.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion and problem-solving skills. Arbitrate and resolve conflict and ambiguity.


Education

Undergraduate degree required; MBA or Graduate degree preferred.
