Full Job Description
Job Summary:

Bizzell US is seeking an experienced Vibration Specialist to join our Facilities Maintenance and Management team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing predictive maintenance, testing, and inspections of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of the JPL campus facilities.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct predictive maintenance activities including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform regular inspections and testing of equipment to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze data from predictive maintenance tools and provide detailed reports on equipment condition and performance.
• Collaborate with the facilities maintenance team to support overall campus operations.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Maintain and calibrate predictive maintenance tools and equipment.
• Document all maintenance activities, findings, and recommendations in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry standards and best practices

Requirements

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the vibration field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in predictive maintenance and inspection.
• Must possess a current Vibration Institute Level 2 training certificate.
• Must have knowledge of machine vibration, be capable of routine data collection and periodic monitoring, and be able to perform fault diagnosis and condition evaluation.
• Extensive knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to interpret data from predictive maintenance tools and make informed recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to predictive maintenance and facilities management.
• Previous experience working in a high-tech or research facility preferred.
• Certification in thermography or other predictive maintenance disciplines is preferred.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of green building practices and sustainability initiatives preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at time.
