JOB SUMMARY:

The Strategic Account Executive - Veterinary is responsible for developing and growing strategic customer relationships across Midmark Veterinary's portfolio of strategic, regional, and emerging accounts, as well as distributor and channel partner organizations. This role partners with customers to align Midmark products, services, and solutions with clinical, operational, and business objectives to improve customer outcomes and drive profitable growth. The position collaborates across internal and external stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and maximize customer value. Performs work with a high degree of latitude.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with corporate groups, regional organizations, GPO-affiliated customers, distributors, and channel partners
  • Identifies customer goals, business challenges, and growth initiatives to align Midmark solutions with customer needs
  • Drives adoption and utilization of Midmark products, services, and solutions across assigned accounts
  • Creates and executes strategic account plans that support customer success, business growth, and long-term partnership development
  • Serves as a trusted advisor by connecting Midmark capabilities to evolving customer operational, clinical, and business objectives
  • Facilitates customer discussions focused on optimizing investments and improving outcomes across the Midmark portfolio
  • Identifies market trends, emerging customer needs, and business opportunities that support growth initiatives
  • Partners with distributor and channel organizations to strengthen collaboration, expand customer value, and achieve mutual business objectives
  • Coordinates with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Service teams to deliver a consistent and seamless customer experience
  • Shares customer insights and market intelligence to support business strategy, product development, and customer engagement efforts
  • Utilizes customer data, analytics, and performance metrics to prioritize opportunities and guide account strategy decisions
  • Monitors account performance, adoption objectives, and growth initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes


SECONDARY DUTIES:
  • Participates in strategic account planning initiatives, industry events, and customer meetings
  • Supports special projects and cross-functional business initiatives
  • Other duties, as needed


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, veterinary business, or related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience in strategic account management, customer success, business development, channel management, or sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working with distributors, channel partners, corporate groups, GPOs, or multi-site organizations preferred.

Veterinary, healthcare, animal health, or related industry experience preferred.

COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of strategic account management and customer relationship development
    • Comprehensive knowledge of sales, business development, and customer growth strategies
    • Solid working knowledge of distributor and channel partner business models
    • Comprehensive knowledge of customer success and value-based solution selling methodologies
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to align solutions to operational, clinical, and strategic objectives
    • Comprehensive stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
    • Solid working knowledge of CRM systems, business analytics, and account planning tools
    • Comprehensive negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
