Texoma Veterinary Hospital is excited to expand our growing specialty team by adding a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist. This is an outstanding opportunity to build and grow a thriving dermatology service within a highly respected, AAHA-accredited hospital that is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting advanced medicine.

Recently renovated and expanded, our beautiful, modern facility is equipped to support comprehensive specialty care. You'll collaborate with an experienced team of veterinarians and skilled support staff who value teamwork, high-quality medicine, and a client-first approach. Our loyal clients are deeply invested in their pets' health and appreciate the advanced care we provide.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.

  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.


Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
