Associate Veterinarian

Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital | Young Harris, Georgia

Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinarian to join our team in beautiful Young Harris, Georgia. We see dogs, cats, and exotics and are open to expanding our services to include urgent care-making this an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to help shape the future of the practice.

A Well-Equipped Hospital

Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital offers a variety of tools to support high-quality medicine, including:
  • 4 exam rooms, including one dedicated feline-only exam room
  • Dedicated surgery suite with surgical table
  • Treatment area divided into three functional sections with 3 treatment tables
  • Digital radiography with AI technology, including digital dental radiography
  • Portable ultrasound
  • Surgical laser
  • Electrocautery
  • Hyperbaric oxygen chamber
  • IDEXX in-house laboratory


We're also looking toward the future, with plans to continue investing in equipment and improving the hospital-including a potential new surgical table and upgraded ultrasound technology.

The Ideal Veterinarian

We're looking for a veterinarian who is:
  • Comfortable seeing dogs and cats, with an interest in exotic animal medicine
  • Excited by variety and interested in practicing high-quality medicine
  • Collaborative, communicative, and team-oriented
  • Creative and willing to bring new ideas to the table
  • Interested in surgery, dentistry, urgent care, or other areas of medicine they want to grow
  • Experienced or a new graduate-we're happy to support the right person at any stage of their career
