Our practice is currently seeking a Veterinarian to join our general practice and to help expand our growing business.

***Experienced Veterinarians preferred, but will consider an exceptional New Graduate

**$110k to $135K Base Salary (varies based on qualifications/experience)

North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital is located beside Lake Norman in Cornelius, North Carolina, which is a quick 20-minute drive to the heart of downtown Charlotte and a short road-trip away from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway or the Carolina coast.

The ideal candidate for this position must be a motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic professional with excellent communication skills. He or she must also have a strong focus on quality care and prioritize client satisfaction. We offer mentorship, an open rapport amongst colleagues, and an opportunity to follow up on cases and to develop new clients.

Working at NMAH, you will work side-by-side with our progressive medical staff in our recently remodeled, state-of-the-art facility. Here you will join a health team that ensures stellar patient care, practices state-of-the-art medicine, and utilizes the newest advances in medical technology.

Our multi-doctor practice enjoys the support of a well-trained and highly utilized technical support staff along with high quality diagnostic, treatment, and surgical equipment, allowing you to practice in an encouraging, supportive environment. In order to provide our gold standard quality of medicine, we are equipped with a full array of diagnostic tools and services including:
• Digital radiography, including digital dental radiography
• Ultrasound
• Endoscopy
• Ligasure
• Laparoscopy
• IDEXX in-house analyzers
• Paperless records

The Veterinarian is responsible for medical and surgical care of patients in the exam room and in the hospital. This includes maintaining client relationships and effectively communicating the care needs and condition of their pet. Medical records are maintained in an accurate manner and estimates are presented to clients in advance of care, as appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of North Carolina
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication, ability to be empathetic and compassionate, and outstanding collaboration with other members of the NMAH family
• Solid ability to think rationally and logically; able to make quick, decisive decisions
