The VA Account Executive will support the execution of account strategy under the direction of the IPSC VA Account Director and the IPSC Managing Director, with a focus on expanding the IPSC footprint within the Departement of Veterans Affairs.
The ideal candidate will have VA domain and policy knowledge, established relationships within the VA and partner ecosystem. Experience with mission systems, data platforms, interoperability, AI or enterprise software is essential, particularly within secure and classified environments. An understanding of the federal procurement process is required, including contract vehicles, prime vs. subcontractor dynamics, services vs. products, flow-down requirements, and ongoing contract management
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute an account plan aligned with the IPSC VA Account goals and objectives to increase market share and drive new business opportunities across VA mission areas.
- Identify, qualify and pursue net-new business opportunities aligned with the direction of the IPSC VA Account Director.
- Engage early with VA stakeholders, program offices and industry partners to appropriately influence requirements development and upcoming RFx opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Systems Integrators and other key third-party influencers to ensure InterSystems technology is positioned within VA proposals and architectures.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers and internal functional teams to develop compelling business and technical proposals including responses to RFx's.
- Ensure issues raised by VA customers are addressed promptly and effectively by the organization.
- Represent InterSystems at VA-focused conferences, industry days, and technology forums.
Qualifications- Knowledge of VA missions, healthcare systems, and modernization initiatives.
- 5-10+ years of demonstrated sales leadership experience in federal sales and account management.
- Consistent achievement of net-new software sales quotas over multiple years.
- Strong understanding of federal contracting and procurement.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Leadership, Program Executive Office (PEO) and program management levels.
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.
Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

This position may be eligible for sales incentives based on certain sales goals, achievements, and results. While sales incentives, if any, vary they generally will result in payment of 25% to 75% of base pay, assuming on-target achievement.
The estimated base compensation range for this role is:
$164,000-$190,000 USD
