Work Schedule: 8 Hr (7:00:00 AM - 3:00:00 PM)

Pay Range: $34.89 - $50.63 per hour

Summary:
The Manager Veteran Outreach and Networking is responsible for the leadership, development, implementation, and day-to-day management of the Road Home Program's outreach team and assists in network development initiatives and projects. A primary focus is to develop and oversee the achievement of the strategic objective of growing veteran and family members' access to the Road Home Program's outpatient, intensive outpatient, and family services and programs. This role is also responsible for nurturing and ensuring a veteran- and family-centric environment, collaborating with and leveraging the strengths of clinical and non-clinical health care team members. Accountable for the direction and management of the veteran and family outreach teams, their budgets, performance reviews, operational analysis, problem resolution, expense control, and overall team personnel management. The ORC team is the relationship development team, forging relationships with veterans and their families, connecting these individuals to RHP services, but also advocating for them with our peer and partner VSO's and other social service organizations with additional programs around employment, housing, legal assistance, and other services not directly provided by RHP. Assist and facilitate the development and growth of our philanthropic, corporate, and individual networks. This is essential as expansion of these networks will allow RHP to continue to connect with organizations that will ensure our sustainability with both direct funds as well as those in-kind or other than cash donations. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years of Relevant Outreach Experience
• Five years of business experience, especially with a veteran service organization, healthcare provider, or nonprofit organization. This experience will ideally include both financial accountability and program management.
• Three years of people management experience.
• Knowledge of the military, Veterans Administration, and issues confronting veterans who have PTSD and/or traumatic brain or other invisible wounds.
• Ability to build strong, collegial relationships with Rush associates at all levels, as well as with donors and community groups.
• Ability to build and maintain a strong team environment including motivating and developing staff members. Excellent oral and written communication.
• Demonstrates a high personal integrity.
• Outstanding analysis and organizational skills.• Computer skills including MS Office, email, etc.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Master's Degree (MBA, MPA or MHA).

Responsibilities:
1. Manage the ORC team and ensure that they meet all administrative and operational requirements
2. Responsible for refining and maintaining operational processes within the ORC team.
3. Work closely with the Executive Director to maximize RHP's ORC team's internal and external efforts.
4. Assess how the RHP ORC team can implement and pilot new initiatives to ensure access to our services.
5. Responsible for the development and oversight of the annual outreach team and network development goals and budgets. Ensure that regular reports on progress as related to budgets and goals are provided to the Executive Director of RHP.
6. Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with our peer/partner veteran service organizations.
7. Work and liaison with Rush University Medical Center Philanthropy, Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, Government Affairs, and other departments on projects and initiatives as directed.
8. Create and maintain a culture of veteran-centric support and advocacy.
9. Participate in the annual review and implementation of the RHP strategic plan, ensuring that tactics are being deployed and that the outreach and network goals are being int.
10. Participate in the development of the resource plans to be invested for future service growth (capital, human resources, facilities, etc.).
11. Ensure that staff meets minimal competencies annually.
