Full Job Description
The Vendor Manager will be responsible for the total P&L for a segment of the Toys business, including setting and executing the strategy for driving growth, creating strong partnerships with selling partners, managing profitability, optimizing business inputs and outputs, and delivering our vision for our customer experience. This includes identifying potential new brand opportunities, partnering with selling partners to build comprehensive joint business plans, and innovating the customer experience.

The right candidate stays on top of market segment and competitive trends, and is able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth. The candidate should have experience in building strong relationships, driving top and bottom line results, and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity for how things work, a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers, and strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. A successful candidate should be able to define and drive long-term objectives and strategy for the business. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. The Vendor Manager is an effective leader, communicator, and a seasoned problem-solver.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience

- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience

- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements

- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development

- Experience creating processes and improving tools that have measurably improved productivity, quality, or advertiser experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
