Full Job Description
The VPM will ensure that the customers' expectations are met by overseeing the integration of all vehicle performance aspects, from requirements to validation. Their efforts will contribute to delivering best-in-class vehicles that meet and exceed customer expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Guide Performance Benchmarks: Lead the green layer of the V-model and provide corporate and competitive benchmarks for strategic targets.
  • Establish Customer Targets: Ensure the initial expectations of the Customer Performance Intended Targets (CPIT) are established.
  • Manage and Align Functional Objectives (FOs): Manage the initial population of Functional Objectives (FOs) and ensure their alignment with strategic goals.
  • Lead Performance Target Convergence: Lead the performance target setting and convergence process, including translating subjective targets, organizing technical feedback, and facilitating trade-off discussions.
  • Oversee Vehicle Validation: Ensure the complete construction and achievement of the vehicle level Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) and manage Vehicle Performance validation trips.
  • Manage Confidentiality Contract: Lead the setup of confidentiality contract and vehicle security policies
  • Prioritize and Commission Vehicles: Develop vehicle prioritization build plans and support the commissioning of vehicles to custodians.
  • Resolve Performance Issues: Drive the resolution of performance issues to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Evaluate Vehicle Performance: Represent the internal customer to evaluate and assess the integration of vehicle performance at the vehicle level.
  • Report and Communicate Performance Status: Lead the reporting and communications of the vehicle performance status and vehicle scorecard.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience
  • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines and launch conditions
  • Ability to lead others quickly and decisively with high accountability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated in both verbal, written, and presentation formats
  • Experience managing time constraints on a program
  • Understanding of the automotive V-model development
  • Knowledge of all Attribute Teams, their functions, responsibilities in relation to Product Development
  • Willingness to support 1-2 week development trips domestic and international


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Background in developing and testing at a vehicle level
  • Reactive problem solving training and certification
  • Understanding of Stellantis corporate systems and tools
  • Experience interfacing with cross functional teams
  • Design release and system development experience
  • Program/Project management experience
  • Functional Science experience
