Job Description

DUTIES: Work with complex manufacturing problems including the need to root cause and follow issues to resolve. Responsible for equipment related to the manufacturing process. Analyze and implement product and machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes. Propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area. Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes for assigned area. Keep regular contact with partners outside the work group. Evaluate and monitor expenditures for processes and equipment. Interphase with Product Engineering to ensure new products adhere to the documented Manufacturing Requirements. Develop or modify the documented Manufacturing Requirements to ensure a successful interphase with Product Engineering. Interphase with Assembly Process Engineering to ensure integration of the Testing Systems with the rest of the manufacturing production line. Create the Statement of Requirements document to source the Testing systems to different suppliers. Technical evaluation of suppliers to award the Testing Systems projects to the correct supplier. With the selected supplier, design and develop an appropriate testing system, supervise the machine building, ensuring that all the GM technical and safety requirements are met. Coordinate the machine Runoff including machine validation and coordinate the machine installation at the final GM facility. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-Office, 2 Days Remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as a Quality Launch Lead, Quality Group Leader, Quality Customer Satisfaction Lead, or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience in the following: Performing data analysis using Bauer and QS-STAT; Test Machine Design using Teamcenter; Project Management; AutoCAD; Test Sequencing Development; and Root Cause Analysis.
