Value Stream Production Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provides strategic and hands-on leadership for assigned manufacturing departments, overseeing multi-shift assembly and/or fabrication operations to consistently achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Applies deep knowledge and strong expertise in manufacturing processes and product technologies to optimize efficiencies of operational excellence in a fast-paced environment requiring timely decision-making and problem-resolution. Accountable for continuous improvement initiatives, workforce planning, employee engagement, and aligns production performance with operational and financial targets that support overall business goals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Lead multi-shift production operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance targets
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, fostering a culture of safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Lead daily production operations across multiple shifts, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance expectations
  • Optimize workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure adherence to standardized processes
  • Execute operating plans, forecasts, and performance tracking to drive operational results
  • Plan, schedule, and execute production tasks to meet on-time customer commitments and operational goals
  • Balance capacity, labor, and inventory to ensure efficient, on-time, cost-effective delivery
  • Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve quality, and lower costs
  • Apply data-driven problem-solving to identify root-causes and sustain performance improvements
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-shift workforce to drive engagement and performance
  • Oversee hiring, workforce planning, and performance management, partnering with HR to strengthen training, succession planning, and employee development
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, reinforcing a strong safety culture
  • Champion hazard identification initiatives, partnering with the HSE manager to implement corrective actions, and incident prevention processes
  • Build and maintain cross-functional partnerships to align operations with business goals
  • Manage departmental budgets and support execution of financial and operational plans
  • Performs other tasks assigned


WHAT WE REQUIRE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience

• Demonstrated leadership experience with responsibility for large teams and multi-shift operations
• Extensive knowledge in Product Management and/or Production Planning
• Experience managing departmental budgets and operational performance
• Experience managing teams of 200+ employees preferred
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and operations
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Officeperience)
