Job Description:

The UX Manager leads and develops a team of UX professionals to deliver exceptional user experiences across our digital products. This role combines team leadership, strategic planning, and design oversight, ensuring that the user perspective is consistently represented in all product decisions.


MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
● Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX Designers, Researchers, and Writers

● Define and enforce UX standards, design guidelines, and best practices

● Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to align UX efforts with business goals

● Drive UX strategy across multiple products or platforms

● Prioritize UX initiatives and allocate resources effectively

● Advocate for the user at all levels of the organization

● Review design deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and usability

● Measure and report on UX impact, including usability metrics, engagement, and customer satisfaction


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The UX Manager must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/poly
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements:

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring UX teams
  • Strong knowledge of UX design principles, user-centered design, and usability best practices
  • Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum product environments

● Preferred requirements:

  • Experience with accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG standards)
  • Familiarity with design systems and UX governance
  • Experience with analytics tools to track user behavior and UX performance
  • Background in IT, software development, or SaaS product environments

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
