Full Job Description
AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Utility/Water Treatment Technicians (Level III or IV) for an upcoming assignment in Alberta. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 6 days per week when assigned to a project.

You will earn:
  • $55 before overtime
  • $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
  • Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
  • Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)
  • Flight provided (when required)


Certifications:
  • Hold a valid Level III or Level IV Water Treatment certificate
  • Must have a valid Class 5 or G drivers license.


Duties, Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to operate machines, mobile equipment and tools used in municipal Water Treatment Facilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Manage and optimize plant performances , react to abnormalities including turbidity, mono-chloramines, chlorine etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints & drawings
  • Strong mathematical skills related to calculations for volume, flow, velocity, chemical dosage, consumption etc.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, and handling hazardous chemicals
  • Ability to provide technician guidance on assignments.
  • Collaborate with other departments
  • Provide assistance to rural water treatment facilities by remote system monitoring.
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
