Utility Control Systems Field Representative (FSR)

Work Location: Aberdeen, Maryland

Schedule: Full Time

IronMountain Solutions, LLC is searching for a Utility Control Systems Field Representative (FSR) to support a customer located in Aberdeen, Maryland. Candidates must exercise excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and keen attention to detail.

Job Description

Under limited direction, the Army Metering Program (AMP) Field Service Representative (FSR) is responsible for optimization of a customer's energy program's metering and control systems and for training Energy Specialists on those systems. The FSR works with Facilities and Maintenance Directors to address mechanical and control issues for buildings.

Principal Duties and Required Responsibilities
  • Provide customer support and work with the project engineers, other system engineers, and end-users to assist in developing cost-effective methods for an efficient Utility Controls design and system solution.
  • Work with essential/key team members to understand their systems requirements to ensure the correct IP infrastructure, points list, critical alarms, and scaling set points are integrated as designed.
  • Properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications across multiple protocols including BACnet, Lon, Modbus, and others.
  • Follow QA procedures to ensure quality control performed by others is properly implemented throughout projects.
  • Write detailed daily reports pertaining to job-site milestones.
  • Perform inspections and testing of Utility Control Systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Coordinate project work internally within the department and externally with other departments to ensure all projects are completed on time.
  • Provide technical assistance with regard to daily operations, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance of Army AMP systems.
  • Resolve operational and technical deficiencies.
  • Monitor daily operations ensuring system performance and data requirements meet specifications.
  • Identify, order, receive, and track parts.
  • Update, refine, maintain, and deliver training material.
  • May serve as a technical liaison between corporate departments, government customer, vendors, and others.
  • May provide leadership to lower-level employees.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment
  • All work performed at customer site/No telework or remote option available.

Required Travel: 10%

Clearance Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required. Per federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this level of clearance.
