Position Overview: The Field Contractor Supervisor will lead the coordination of utility subcontractors, execution, and documentation for work on assigned projects supporting an array of customer facing utility commercial and industrial programs including but not limited to surge protection, outdoor lighting, demand-side management, and electric vehicles. This individual will provide leadership assistance in the coordination of field resources and field execution of utility programs and post-storm damage assessment in support of electric utility programs and restoration efforts across Florida. Hanson supports government, aviation, and infrastructure work in Florida and may assign work outside of the power market as needed. This role is ideal for experienced electrical field personnel, engineers or licensed electrical contractors who are familiar with utility processes and can work in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate safety leadership by promoting Hanson's Safe Work Practices and verifying that required safety protocols are appropriately documented during work activities..
- Respond to work issued by the utility supporting ongoing customer programs and electrical infrastructure damage following hurricanes, tropical storms, and other severe weather events.
- Conduct field assessments of electrical systems, including substations, distribution lines, and service panels.
- Implement and follow established communication, quality assurance, program and storm response protocols as assigned
- Coordinate with utility providers, emergency management agencies, customers of the utility, subcontractors, and Hanson project teams.
- Document work according to program requirements, findings, repairs, and recommendations in detailed reports.
- Participate in planning client meetings as directed for pre and post-storm evaluations, as needed.
- Coordinate subcontractors activities as assigned in the execution of utility programs. This may include proactive development and implementation of communication and work processes to attain successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications: - Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience as a licensed electrical contractor, troubleman, operational electrical engineer, Journeyman Lineman, or electrical distribution technician.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electric utility distribution system maintenance, construction, and operations.
- Demonstrated experience with storm response protocols and emergency electrical restoration working within an Incident Command Structure
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and utility infrastructure.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications with utility customers.
- Ability to travel throughout Florida on short notice and work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience working with utility companies or emergency response teams.
- Prior experience in leading contractors in an operational setting.
- Certifications in electrical safety, disaster recovery, or storm response.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to perform fieldwork and carry equipment.
Compensation: This is a non-exempt position. Hanson offers a competitive hourly rate between $40 - $75 per hour based on experience. Travel expenses reimbursed.
