Description

Location: Orlando, FL (candidate will have the flexibility to work from their home office but must reside within a 100-mile radius of Orlando, FL

Schedule: Full-time; Exempt

Travel: Candidate can expect to travel locally and throughout the area about 50% of the time. Travel could expand to other parts of the state if needed for the project.

What You'll Do

• Acquire right-of-way rights for distribution and electrical transmission line projects in accordance with project guidelines and regulations
• Support the Project Manager and project team members
• Prepare real estate documents
• Conduct property research for ownership and boundary information
• Communicate with property owners and their representatives regarding right of way acquisition
• Perform general administrative tasks that keep projects moving

This posting covers Utilities Agent levels 1-3, and the pay range shown reflects the full span across all three levels for the standard market rate- not the range for any single level.

During the hiring process, every candidate is assessed and evaluated to determine their Agent level. Leveling is based on a number of factors - including years of experience, demonstrated skills, the complexity and scope of work you've owned, overall career depth, and what you demonstrate throughout the interview process.

Your offer, including compensation, will align with the level that best matches your experience:

• Utilities Agent 1 - $64,374 - $76,889 | Experience in negotiation, real estate and/or right of way experience
• Utilities Agent 2 - $73,344 - $87,567 | Minimum of 3 years Right of Way acquisition experience
• Utilities Agent 3 - $85,220 - $98,000 | Minimum of 5 years of Right of Way acquisition

Other Minimum Requirements

• Active Florida Real Estate License
• Proficient with MS Office Suite - specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
• An iOS or Android smartphone to access ORC's systems
• Valid driver's license

Second-career candidates are encouraged to apply! Educators and other professionals with an active Florida real estate license may qualify based on their transferable skills-prior Right of Way experience is not required for our Agent 1 level.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, it requires a combination of office-based and field work. Employees will spend prolonged periods sitting and performing computer-based tasks, including typing, data entry, and virtual communication, while also regularly traveling to landowner properties, project sites, and government facilities, some of which may be in rural or remote locations with limited accessibility. Driving is an essential function of the role and may involve extended periods and long-distance travel. Fieldwork may require walking over uneven terrain, standing, or navigating outdoor environments, with routine exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow. The role also involves frequent interaction with a diverse range of individuals, including landowners, government officials, and members of the public, requiring the ability to communicate effectively and maintain professionalism across differing personalities and potentially challenging situations. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to accommodate travel, site access, and stakeholder availability, along with adherence to safety protocols in both office and field settings.
