SALARY: $106,400 - $126,350, bonus and long term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:

If you are interested in a hands-on, continuous improvement oriented, fast-paced role in a world class manufacturing environment then our Utilities Manager role is for you. In this role you will lead the powerhouse process work group made up of Utilities Operators and Maintenance Technicians. Responsible for overall coordination of safe process area operation and maintenance (high pressure steam boilers, high voltage maintenance, refrigeration, air compressors, CO2 system, water filtration plant, and wastewater operations). Leading department meetings, creating and executing action plans to meet critical metrics, troubleshooting operational concerns on the fly, developing relationships with technicians, influencing change, and growing technically and as a leader are all elements of this great opportunity. Additionally, you can expect to:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage safety and achieve goal of zero risk exposures
  • Track and report on Energy and Fluids usage and cost performance and initiate processes to control costs
  • Utilize standard management tools (VPO) to achieve critical metric targets close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, SIC, MCRS, 5 Why's, PDCA and SCDA cycles, etc.)
  • Analyze Energy and Fluid critical metric/PI data and coordinate with department owners to identify usage trends and to develop performance improvement initiatives
  • Champion Energy and Fluids GOPS
  • Provides process technical expertise to utility operators, technicians, project engineers, project teams and customers
  • Facilitate the operator owned PSM program and committee
  • Facilitate the Management of Change (MOC) process for all ammonia refrigeration projects which require MOCs and ensure all related documentation is managed and organized appropriately. Ensure project handoff/integration into the operating department is safe and successful.
  • Ensure P&IDs are supplied, reviewed and revised, and updated accordingly.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Equipment Lists, Materials of Construction, and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) are maintained and organized for all equipment associated with the covered process.
  • Monitor maintenance performance data and execution
  • Interact with and lead contractors working in Utilities on all safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with project conceptualization and scoping (ETI, Initiatives, Capital Planning, etc.)
  • Recruit and retain new vendor resources and maintain a competitive environment to ensure the brewery maintains adequate resources with a very high level of technical expertise to help solve the most challenging problems.
  • Manage contractor quality of work and ensure their workmanship meets the company's GTC and TSP standards.
  • Own viability Capital Engineering project ideation through execution, including 1YP and 3YP.
  • Support team member training and upskilling


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS degree in Engineering preferred, technical degree required
  • Experience in Utilities preferred
  • Experience in PSM programs preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and team orientation; ability to lead a team and influence change
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and technical problem-solving skills
  • Highly focused on results and providing a structured, systematic approach to delivering solutions
  • Detail oriented, schedule driven and strong planning skills needed for handling multiple projects
  • Ability to extract, evaluate and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Mechanically or electrically inclined to understand the utilities process
  • Belt methodology and/or lean methods experience a plus
