Job DescriptionBy joining our team as a UX Researcher - User Experience Advisor, you will have the opportunity to leverage your passion for UX research and design to help shape the tools used by insurance and savings advisors, improving the user experience while supporting business performance.
In this cross-functional role, you will collaborate with and influence multiple teams across the Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement business line.
What You Will Accomplish with Us
As a UX Researcher - User Experience Advisor, you will play a key role in defining digital experiences while supporting the implementation and evolution of the user research practice within the Advisor and Client Experience Strategy team for Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement.
- Establish, manage and continuously evolve a structured user research practice, including participant recruitment, research planning, facilitation of research activities, analysis of findings, and development of recommendations.
- Partner with stakeholders to define research needs and objectives, and plan and conduct both generative (discovery) and evaluative research in close collaboration with UX designers, digital experience strategists and advisors, and business teams.
- Apply a variety of research methods, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, tree testing, A/B testing, experimentation, field observations, and focus groups. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to develop meaningful, actionable recommendations.
- Communicate research findings to influence decision-making, guide design strategies, and contribute to the creation and maintenance of a user knowledge repository.
- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of a digital analytics dashboard, while integrating emerging trends, best practices, and tools related to user research and user experience (UX).
- Participate in UX design activities, including ideation workshops, user journey mapping, low-fidelity wireframing, and prototyping.

- Is recognized for their ability to independently lead end-to-end user research initiatives, their expertise in both qualitative and quantitative UX research methods, and their knowledge of digital analytics tools.
- Stands out for their strong analytical, organizational, and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrates excellent collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams, along with strong communication and stakeholder influence abilities.
- Is known for their autonomy, proactivity, and initiative, as well as their understanding of UX design principles, including accessibility, usability heuristics, information architecture, user-centered design, user journeys, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Has a minimum of five (5) years of experience in qualitative and quantitative UX research, ideally in a B2B or B2B2C environment involving digital tools designed for professionals, such as portals, internal tools, transactional platforms, or other case management solutions. Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in insurance or savings, is considered an asset.
- Has an intermediate level of English proficiency, as the role involves conducting user testing with English-speaking brokers, agents, and participants who are unilingual English speakers on a regular basis, several times per week.
