Overview

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Used Truck Salesperson for our Pacific, WA location!

As a Used Truck Salesperson you will be the first impression of GTC to our used truck customer base. This position is responsible for greeting customers and initiating dialogue to determine their equipment needs. Bilingual candidate strongly desired.

Ideal candidate will have proven track record in heavy-duty truck sales, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Responsibilities will include prospecting new clients, understanding their needs, presenting our truck inventory, negotiation deals and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sale process.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Greet and initiate dialogue with prospective customers.

Promoting and selling of heavy duty and medium duty used trucks.

Maintain and prepare accurate documentation in reports, quoting and communication related to sales.

Excellent presentation skills and ability to close

Make recommendations based on customer needs.

Answer questions regarding the equipment.

Follow up with customers regarding status of sale, documents, repairs, parts on order, etc.

Applied knowledge of all phases of services performed with a dealership.

Ability to demonstrate use of equipment.

Develop and maintain knowledge of product lines.

Promote other businesses of the organization (parts, service and body shop)

Coordinate with the Finance Manager, Sales Manager and service department on your customer27s behalf.

Communicate directly and effectively with co-workers, peers and shop management. Problem solve as a team

Develop and grow position.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Other: Must have valid driver27s license and insurable.

Experience: 5 years of tractor sales experience desired. Minimum of 3 years sales experience.

Skills: CDL License desired, Awareness of all regulations pertaining to the trucking industry. Verbal and written Communication, General PC and Conflict Resolution skills. Must be energetic, professional and safety minded at all times. Excellent communication both verbal and written, listening skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Able to work with minimal supervision and direction. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Conditions

Physical: Must be able to be able to physically navigate around a powered tractor unit. Be able to access air lines, cat walk, engine compartment and interior of truck as needed.

Environmental: Outdoor and indoor contingent on customer27s needs.

Other: Ability to operate equipment proficiently to allow effective presentation, and maintain display of inventory.

Annual Compensation: $80-125k comprised of base salary plus commission
