We aim to revolutionize tax and finance operations through strategy development, digitalization, and leveraging technology to automate compliance, reporting, and provide valuable insights to our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Analyst within the Finance Transformation competency of the Tax Technology and Transformation (TTT) practice, you will work on engagements, helping our clients develop and implement strategic solutions focused on efficient use of people, process, technology and data. You will learn about the latest in tax technology and transformation trends, as well as how to become a trusted client advisor. You will learn about organizations' cultures, challenges and goals. You will work on client deliverables and may participate directly with clients in meetings and workshops. That could mean attending meetings, directly working on project deliverables and participating in influential conversations with key stakeholders in leadership.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Assuming full responsibility for designated tasks and ensuring their follow-through.

  • Exploring opportunities to streamline repetitive processes through automation with current and new tech solutions.

  • Streamlining the collection and integration of tax information to facilitate better analysis and strategic planning.

  • Enhancing the quality of reports to improve client insights into risk assessment and opportunity identification.

  • Providing project support to team members to guarantee the punctual delivery of project outcomes.

  • Investigating cutting-edge technologies like AI and machine learning to develop relevant business cases for their implementation.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology or a related field; or an Accounting major and a double major/minor in a technology related field, supported by a strong academic record.

  • 3.0 cumulative college/university GPA.

  • Excellent communication and business writing skills.

  • A natural flair for problem solving, and an entrepreneurial approach to work.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the confidence to prioritize your workload within tight deadlines.

  • An interest working in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.

  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

  • You must reside within a commutable distance of the office location associated with this position.

  • Immigration sponsorship may be available.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Cumulative college/university GPA of 3.2 or above.

  • A data management background, with an understanding of common tools and principles.
