What you'll do...

Role summary:
The (USA) Staff, Software Engineer plays a critical role in delivering scalable platform capabilities by leading software development, infrastructure, and tooling initiatives aligned with strategic roadmaps. This position drives the full software lifecycle, including design reviews, coding, testing, and deployment, while integrating AI/ML components to enhance automation and product functionality. The role requires technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across teams to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions. The engineer applies data-driven practices to optimize processes and supports continuous improvement, innovation, and alignment with business objectives in a dynamic environment.

What you'll do:
  • Design and implement sophisticated features in Walmart Android applications.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to optimize the experience for android platform.
  • Experiment with new technologies and features and build quick prototypes.
  • Participate in managing code & configurations for multiple environments, release management process, creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the junior engineers Ability to enforce quality code and follow SOLID principles.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
  • Utilizes industry research to improve Wal-Mart's technology environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
