Join a dedicated engineering team focused on building scalable, cloud-native microservices supporting millions of Sam's Club members. The team drives innovation by modernizing legacy systems with strong API design, distributed systems, and automated testing. Members take full ownership of features, ensuring operational excellence through proactive monitoring and DevOps practices. Collaboration across functions enables delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business goals. The team emphasizes continuous learning, technical rigor, and problem-solving to enhance platform capabilities and deliver impactful software at internet scale.
What you'll do:
  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable software components, APIs, and user interfaces using languages such as Java and Rust.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical designs and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines, ensuring code quality through automated testing and code reviews.
  • Integrate AI/ML models and generative AI tools to enhance application functionality and development efficiency.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform maintenance to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Provide technical guidance to small engineering teams and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

  • Experience delivering features and services through collaborative engineering teams, including implementation, testing, and support.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
