Position Summary...

What you'll do...
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead the ASPEN platform development for International markets, a foundational replenishment capability within Walmart's Supply Chain Technology ecosystem. This role will own the engineering strategy, execution and operational excellence of ASPEN for International and play a critical role in enabling the decommissioning of the legacy Global Replenishment System (GRS).
ASPEN is a core replenishment configuration and parameter management platform that serves as the system of record for replenishment settings across hierarchies (item, location, channel). It provides centralized, scalable and automated configuration that is consumed by the replenishment engine - Event Driven Fulfillment (EDF). As Walmart continues its transformation toward next-generation replenishment platforms, ASPEN is a key prerequisite and dependency for fully eliminating GRS and legacy mainframe-based workflows.
This role is based out of Bentonville, Arkansas and requires close collaboration with Product, Architecture, Data Science, Operations and Global Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
Platform & Engineering Leadership
• Own the end-to-end engineering responsibility for the ASPEN platform, including design, development, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead and grow a team of engineers for International responsible for replenishment configuration services, APIs, and platform capabilities.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
GRS Elimination Enablement
• Partner closely with Product and Platform Architecture teams to ensure ASPEN capabilities replace legacy GRS configuration and parameter logic.
• Deliver enhancements required to support GRS decommissioning milestones, reducing dependency on legacy systems and manual processes.
Cross-Platform Integration
• Ensure seamless integration of ASPEN with EDF, DRIVE and other downstream replenishment and flow optimization platforms.
• Act as a key technical liaison between upstream data sources (forecast, targets, inventory) and downstream execution engines.
Operational Excellence
• Own product stability, availability, and performance, including production support, incident management and risk mitigation.
• Lead technical debt reduction initiatives and ensure compliance with Walmart's security, platform and cloud governance standards.
Stakeholder & Program Leadership
• Collaborate with Product Managers to shape the ASPEN roadmap, balancing near-term GRS elimination needs with long-term platform scalability.
• Communicate progress, risks and dependencies clearly to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Influence cross-team alignment across Supply Chain, Replenishment and Global Tech organizations.
