What you'll do...
A recognized product authority who shapes product strategy across multiple related products or a sizable product area. Drives organization-level decisions through deep domain expertise, data-driven insight, and cross-functional influence. Owns complex customer problems and product requir ments including upstream and downstream impacts. Builds new ideas and strategies using Whole Product concepts. Sets best practices for the product management discipline and elevates the technical/strategic bar across PM peers. Equivalent in scope and impact to Senior Manager, Product Management on the People Leader track; represents the upper expression of Level G - broader portfolio influence, more strategic ambiguity, and deeper organizational impact than Staff PM.
Customer & Problem Understanding:
Builds deep, proprietary insights into customer and business needs using design thinking, journey mapping, and process analysis across multiple related products.
Establishes scalable mechanisms for gathering and interpreting customer feedback and product usage data; transforms insights into prioritized, measurable problem statements at portfolio scale.
Guides teams in defining success metrics, ensuring alignment to customer outcomes and informing multi-layered validation across product, problem, and user dimensions.
Influences enterprise prioritization through proprietary customer insights and opportunity-sizing models.
Product Vision & Strategy:
Defines and evolves industry-leading product strategies by leveraging business, technology, and domain expertise to identify market opportunities and shape multi-pillar initiatives.
Frames complex problem spaces using hypothesis-driven approaches, Whole-Product thinking, and cross-domain insights to guide long-term product direction.
Promotes strategic vision across senior stakeholders by crafting compelling narratives grounded in competitive insights, user needs, and enterprise priorities.
Shapes build / buy / partner strategy at portfolio level; creates reusable platforms or partnerships adopted broadly.
Product Lifecycle Leadership:
Develops and manages roadmaps spanning multiple related products, ensuring strategic alignment, technical feasibility, and resource prioritization.
Oversees MVP creation, rollout planning, and scalable launch execution; guides risk mitigation, dependency management, and long-term product evolution.
Strengthens product management practices by reviewing development methodologies, formalizing expectations, and promoting ethical and compliant delivery.
Owns value realization post-launch; establishes telemetry standards and optimization rhythms for the product area.
Data, AI & Insight-Driven Decisions:
Drives organization-level decision frameworks by guiding advanced analytics, data extraction, and insight synthesis to support objective product decisions.
Applies modern data tools, feature analytics, and experimentation methods to validate assumptions and optimize strategic prioritization.
Assesses emerging technology and AI opportunities by analyzing feasibility, risks, and architectural implications to inform long-term product direction.
Creates a culture of data fluency across product teams; establishes standards for experimentation rigor and insight communication.
Enterprise Influence & Domain Leadership:
Leads complex cross-functional dialogue using data-backed storytelling, emotional intelligence, and coordination skills to influence executive decisions.
Advances domain innovation by monitoring industry trends, identifying areas for automation and new processes, and guiding adoption across teams.
Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on product and technology matters across the area.
Mentors product managers at all levels; contributes to organizational capability building through strategic coaching and talent development.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and promoting a belonging mindset in workplace.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
