What you'll do...
Role summary:

As a Principal Data Scientist at Walmart, you will lead the development and deployment of advanced analytical models and machine learning solutions that drive strategic business decisions. This role requires deep expertise in coding, statistical analysis, and Deep learning solutions to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will collaborate across functions to identify data sources, design scalable solutions, and mentor team members. Your work will directly impact business outcomes by applying innovative techniques and ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of data-driven initiatives within a dynamic, technology-focused environment.
What you'll do:
  • Develop, test, and deploy advanced machine learning models and AI solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Analyze complex business problems to design data-driven strategies and quantify their impact.
  • Identify, assess, and validate data sources ensuring quality and relevance for modeling and analytics.
  • Lead model evaluation, tuning, and lifecycle management to ensure accuracy, robustness, and scalability.

  • Expertise in data strategy, quality assessment, and source identification to ensure reliable and fit-for-purpose data.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, validate, and optimize analytical models using techniques such as Bayesian inference and neural networks.
  • Skilled in MLOps practices and cloud platforms like GCP for model deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Strong business acumen to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies aligned with organizational goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
