Position Summary...
Sparky is Walmart's customer-facing AI shopping assistant-helping build a new, conversational, multimodal, and agentic way for customers to shop.

The team is defining how advances in generative AI, multimodal experiences, personalization, reasoning, and agents can transform the customer shopping journey-from inspiration and discovery through consideration, purchase, and post-purchase.

Working closely across product, design, engineering, data science, and business, the team is shaping how Sparky becomes an integral part of the broader Walmart ecosystem, creating connected, intelligent experiences across discovery, search, personalization, item experiences, cart, checkout, services, and post-purchase-and redefining how customers engage with Walmart across the end-to-end shopping journey.

What you'll do...
  • Contribute to and help shape the long-term product vision and strategy for Sparky, bringing deep customer, product, market, and technology insights into the direction of the experience.
  • Own major strategic problem spaces and product initiatives within Sparky, translating the broader vision into clear customer problems, product strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Help define how Sparky evolves from a conversational shopping assistant toward increasingly multimodal and agentic experiences that can understand customer goals, reason across complex needs, and help customers complete shopping missions.
  • Identify emerging opportunities created by advances in AI and determine where those capabilities can create differentiated and durable customer value for Walmart.
  • Shape how Sparky becomes an integral part of the broader Walmart ecosystem, creating connected, intelligent experiences across discovery, search, personalization, item experiences, cart, checkout, services, and post-purchase.
  • Develop strategic frameworks that help Walmart determine where AI-native experiences can fundamentally improve shopping and where existing interaction models remain more effective.
  • Partner across the organization to turn Sparky's product vision into an actionable portfolio of experiences and capabilities that can be tested, learned from, and scaled to hundreds of millions of customers.
What You'll Bring...
  • Deep customer, product, market, and technology insights that can help shape the direction of Sparky and the broader customer experience.
  • Strong product vision and strategy, with the ability to translate a broader vision into clear customer problems, product strategies, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of advances in generative AI, multimodal experiences, personalization, reasoning, and agents, and how those capabilities can create differentiated and durable customer value.
  • The ability to identify and develop the highest-impact customer opportunities and translate them into product strategies and experiences that can operate at Walmart scale.
  • The ability to think across the end-to-end shopping journey, from inspiration and discovery through consideration, purchase, and post-purchase.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to work closely with product, design, engineering, data science, and business leaders.
  • The ability to operate in emerging and complex problem spaces, develop strategic frameworks, and turn product vision into experiences and capabilities that can be tested, learned from, and scaled.
