What you'll do...
Role summary:
The (USA) Director, Business Development provides strategic leadership by analyzing business objectives and customer needs to develop and implement effective growth strategies. This role drives business expansion through cultivating internal and external partnerships, managing risk, and overseeing profit and loss responsibilities. The position ensures alignment of resources and operational processes to achieve desired outcomes while fostering continuous improvement. The Director leads business development initiatives, negotiates key agreements, and supports talent development to maintain a skilled workforce, all while upholding the highest standards of integrity and promoting a customer-focused environment.
About the team:
Our team excels in managing a $2.3 billion maintenance portfolio, handling over 3.3 million annual work orders with a focus on preventative, scheduled, and reactive services. We are evolving Walmart's internal technician program into a strategic enterprise asset while expanding maintenance solutions to external businesses. By optimizing technician deployment and maintaining high service standards, we enhance asset management, improve data accuracy, and reduce costs. Our approach emphasizes efficiency, financial discipline, and scalable models that support business growth, operational excellence, and long-term value for associates, customers, and the enterprise.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies aligned with organizational objectives and customer needs.
  • Drive business growth by establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships and managing key stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee profit and loss management, budget analysis, and resource allocation to optimize financial performance.
  • Lead business development initiatives from sourcing through contracting, evaluating risks, and ensuring successful program execution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing operational processes and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Support talent development through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning to build a skilled workforce.
  • Promote ethical standards and compliance, modeling integrity in all business practices.

  • Proven experience in business development with a strong ability to analyze business objectives and customer needs.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
