Your Purpose

MSC Cruises, the world's third largest cruise line brand, is expanding its Procurement team in the USA. Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, with functional supervision from the EVP, US Operations, the Director, US Procurement leads procurement activities across North America, partnering with Global Category Leads and US Operations to execute sourcing strategies, optimize costs, strengthen supplier performance, and support operational needs. The role serves as the key regional procurement partner, representing North American requirements within the global organization and driving sourcing and supply chain improvements across the region.

This is a hybrid position requiring employees to work from the Miami office four days per week (Monday through Thursday), with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Your Impact

  • Lead procurement activities across North America, serving as the primary procurement partner to US Operations and aligning regional priorities with global strategy.
  • Partner with Global Category Leads across F&B, Hotel, Logistics, CTL, and other categories to execute sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, service, and operational needs.
  • Lead negotiations with US suppliers and support global negotiations from a North American perspective to secure competitive terms and conditions.
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address service, quality, delivery, and cost opportunities.
  • Manage procurement budgets and identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining required quality and service standards.
  • Contribute to multi-year category strategies and portfolio performance targets in partnership with Global Procurement, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive localization and supply chain optimization initiatives, including identifying competitive sourcing opportunities across regional and low-cost markets.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual standards, and applicable legal requirements while proactively managing risk.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders within a complex global matrix to ensure procurement supports broader business objectives.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities across procurement and supply chain processes.


Your Journey so far

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a global organization.
  • Proven procurement leadership experience within a complex, matrixed organization; shipping, cruise, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and strategic decision-making skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable procurement strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and lead effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including experience supporting technology and process improvement initiatives.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to optimize procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in Italian, French, or other languages is a plus.
